Kinja'd!!!

Had a second round interview with a company yesterday. As far as I know it went great, even the president of the company told me it went really well. Now I get to wait for a week or so while they dig through my contacts and references to hear if they want me back for yet another interview. Pins and needles here...

So I say to you NSX poeples, I get them feels...

UPDATE- Just got an email back. Final round interview a week from now! And they want me to give a technical presentation. And I'm good at those!!!!!!

I had a certain application take 7 years to get processed with several tests and interviews with a certain government agency. Didn't wind up getting it after all that time.

Dear god no.

The companies North American division only has 12 employees and I've already interviewed with almost all of their leadership/management.

Sounds like they've had quite the baby boom in the office as well and they need someone asap. As luck would have it that's when I'm available. I'm sure I'll hear something in the next week or so but that sounds like forever lol.

Also, insert government incompetence joke here

Yeah you should hear something quick. Yeah it was probably more to do with the recession and budget government shut down than blatant incompetence.

My last boss had FIVE interviews over a 4 month period before he was offered the job. He quit a good job of 5 years to come on board. If I didn't have a job maybe I would be that patient. If I was him I would of never qyit my current job for a company that took that long to make a decision.

Depending on the job I think I would wait. They want a good fit and dedication to the company as much as I want a good job with job security.

That doesn't go for every job though, had an interview for a different one last week that 10 minutes in I decided unless they offer six figures before the end of the interview Im not taking it. That one was not worth the waiting game.

See I would be thinking there's something they aren't sure about, why the hesitation? It was a small company so that didn't help. Can they afford to keep me or are they trying to ramp up for predicted growth that may not happen. Are they deciding to try me out? I've got 5 years of stability where I am.I just couldn't have done it myself.
